Description
The crowned serpent on the Alfa Romeo badge is not decoration. It is the Biscione, the heraldic emblem of the House of Visconti who ruled Milan from the 13th century, borrowed in 1910 to root a new Milanese carmaker in the history of its own city. This keychain lifts that serpent off the grille and puts it on your keys, rendered in Italian tricolore enamel and cast in solid zinc alloy.
Each piece is die-cast in 3D with raised contours, so the crown, the coiled body and the figure at the serpent’s mouth all read clearly at arm’s length. Green, white and red enamel sits in recessed channels and catches the light with a depth that printed or stamped badges never achieve. Three frame finishes are available: polished chrome, gloss red and matte black, each supplied on a heavy-gauge link chain with a split ring.
Zinc alloy was chosen over lighter pot metal for a reason. It carries weight in the hand, the same reassuring heft as a proper factory key fob, and it resists the bending, chipping and dulling that ruins cheaper keychains within a season.
